The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are planning an official trip to New York - which will mark her comeback from acute morning sickness.
Pregnant Kate has been suffering from the illness for several weeks and was forced to pull out of a trip Malta last month.
It was to have been her first solo overseas visit and William took her place.
Kate is now planning a show-stopping visit to the Big Apple at either the end of November or the beginning of December and will stay in the world famous city for several days.
A royal source revealed: “This trip is in the early planning phase but it’s a clear sign that she is on the mend. However, if there is any suggestion that the duchess isn’t well, it will be cancelled immediately.”
It is believed Kate’s itinerary may include a visit to some of the city’s famous monuments and a trip to Ground Zero. Prince George will remain in the UK.The trip would be Kate’s second to America since her marriage to Prince William.
The couple went on a triumphant tour of North America in July 2011 three months after their wedding.
Hollywood royalty queued up to meet them in Los Angeles when the couple attended a glittering dinner hosted by Bafta.
Some of the biggest names in showbusiness including Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez and the late James Gandolfini attended a black-tie dinner in their honour at the 1920s art deco BelaSco theatre in central LA.
A week before their tour of California the pair had an equally successful trip to Canada.
They travelled to seven cities including Calgary, Montreal and Quebec meeting a diverse array of Canadians.
